I don't know much about Allen, but Spacek won't get much more than a 3rd round pick.

The deadline will be really boring unless Nash or Carter are traded. The few sellers are signing their players...

I'm really hoping the Canucks will bring Allen back, he would be a perfect fit in Van. Be a 4-5 depth guy, I hear he's been playing around 20 mins/game. And plus a -1 rating in last two years with Florida and Carolina is pretty damn good. Good character guy too I would assume.

I've been thinking the samething.I would love to get Allen and Ruutuin a packeged deal. ButI think that would consist of toomuch coming out of our system. Prolly like a Schneider, Bieksa and a 2nd.

Not sure Im willing to part with that.

I think when we eventually give up Schnieder, We could get a great deal coming back. But I highly doubt he'll be traded before the deadline.

I will be tuning in full force on draft day tho.

ummm schneider, bieska and a 2nd round pick for a can opener and a punching bag?
then your okay with kesler and burrows for connolly and jeff finger (but only because of the cap, otherwise we need to keep him for the marlies)
just think of all the pretty passes connolly could feed the sedins .... in practice albeit but still.

someone tell mike gillis he can have that day off, we found someone to fill in for him. NO worries

Allen has been solid if not spectacular this year. He had a stretch early this year where he was paired with Gleason and the 2 were (literally) as good as any pair in the NHL for 3-4 weeks. But then the team drove off the cliff and everyone went with it to some degree.

But I think Allen will be a great get as a #5 guy. He is top 4 capable, but for a team that has enough depth to put him in their 3rd pairing he stays stays a little more rested and can gobble up a bunch of PK minutes. And he brings the grit and nastiness that you want for the playoffs.

Supply and demand!! ... by next week several teams will be looking for the extra solid d-man, for the playoff run... so i see both guys can fetch a pick and prospect, or a 2nd rounder minimally!
